Allons-y!
Earth Girl
I have been around this world of the internet for a long while. Since before it was something commonly used by everyday tweeps and facebookers. Long before friendsters and My Spacers. Back when it was still something just for the University crowd. I started by making my own website way back in 1995 when I saw a girl in my computer lab doing just that. My talent as a web designer has grown, my interests have changed and still I remain one who must have her own space. While many are keen to let blogger and wordpress.com be the home of their blogs, I have always opted for my own webspace with my own personal install of wordpress to keep all my thoughts and dreams and fears and hopes. And most of it no one will ever see.
Had I begun blogging 6 or 7 years ago I would probably have a rather popular blog. But seeing as most internet users are a bunch of nimrods who can barely grasp the concept of twitter, I doubt this will ever be read by anyone.
Except for you. Because you are here obviously reading this are you not. So who am I exactly?
I don’t like explaining myself too much as you really don’t warrant that information but I supposed you’d need a little big of background on the author of a blog named after the antiquated french word for ‘let’s go’
I’m an early 30′s atypical African American woman from Los Angeles. The two biggest, most important things in life for me are Technology and Music. I also love animals, British Television and Tea.
As a hobby I do on occasion do photography. Yes I belive in a creator, no we aren’t alone in the universe and of the sentient species out there, we are probabaly the youngest and the most far behind. We haven’t even figured out faster than light travel. Well I have, but that isn’t really important is it?
I hate not understanding things. When I am afraid of something I study it and break it down to its most basic parts till it makes sense to me. Makes a lot of things like religion seem a lot less magical but hey, sometimes cold science fact is very comforting.
I have rambled on enough for now and I have sort of a story I am attempting to sort out. Here is a little advice for when you come in contact with aliens and you will come into contact with aliens.
1. Don’t Panic
2. Always know where your towel is.
3. The answer to life, the universe and everything is 42
4. If you find yourself in the vicinity of a blue police call box, the Doctor is near by.
5. everything you know about the world, is completely, and utterly wrong.
6. And this is VERY important. NEVER under any circumstances, ever let a Vogon read you poetry.
