Having fun at DisneyWorld on this my last day. Well last full day.  I have had an epic time but honestly I am quite full of it now and ready to return home and start back to school.

On and off note I have decided that I won’t be visiting with family members.  I think it would be a lot more fun to let go and let loose while enjoying the vacation kingdom.

Thanks to all the loverly comments.  I will have to catch up on your blogs soon.  If you know of and other good blogs please suggest.

Ciao Lovely Friends

Oh what a crazy day!

August 21st, 2010 | Mystitsu

If you have been following my Twitter, Facebook or Blog, (or if you know me personally) you’re familiar with the fact that I was about to begin my vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort.  On Friday the 20th of August is when my lil adventure began.  My companion and I flew out of Los Angeles at 2 in the afternoon and arrived for our connecting flight in Atlanta Georgia at about 9pm, just abreast of a severe thunderstorm.  As we landed we flew through it and actually got to see it rain side ways.  (as long as it doesn’t rain up, Thats a sign of an H2O Scoop and possible abduction by the Judoon.) We landed got to our connecting terminal and then the storm we flew abreast off arrived, rather violently and like a misbehaved relative decided to make a rather mess of things.

First it rained, I mean in buckets, which is not at all unusual for Atlanta this time of year.  It also began to flash with the most beautiful display of lightning I have seen for a while.  Also, not unusual but with that combination, it was unsafe for the ramp staff (the people who guide in planes, unload and load them and what not) to be outside to do what they do and get the plane ready for departure.  So we waited for the angry storm to pass. And waited and waited. Nearly two hours.

When the storm finally did pass over we then had to wait for the backed up tarmac, which by now had many planes who were plenty able to land but rather unable to pull into the gates and be unloaded (because of the saftey issue to the ramp staff) to thin out so our plane could finally pull into the gate.  And the poor lot of people who had been cooped up in these planes on the tarmac in the rain for hours finally got released from their little tubular detention cells.

Then, the plane was in, it was ready and still we waited.  The flight required 3 flight attendants, and one of ours was no where to be found.  We waited for nearly an hour when our hostess at the gate finally decided to simply enlist the assistance of an other available flight attendant, put her on our flight and finally we were on our way at a quarter to one in the morning.  The flight was originally scheduled to leave at 10:20.

So now I am sitting in the Orlando airport, just finished breakfast and waking up. Going to grab a sweet and find some proper tea, as my day can’t begin without it and head over to our resort hotel to begin this vacation. More to come later, Ciao.

The Money Issue

August 16th, 2010 | Mystitsu

So I have decided what to do about vacation funds.  My check most likely will come on Saturday, and I will be gone.  There is a possibility that it may come Friday. How ever, I dislike that uncertainty so I am going to borrow the check amount from my dad so I don’t have to worry about it.  That way, I can come home from my trip, cash my check the next day and pay it all back.  It will also give me the opportunity to put the money on my prepaid credit card and not have to carry cash around.  So that is what my plan is. I will ask him when he gets home, again so I can relax and not worry. I already talked to him about it a month ago so he knows I have this air of uncertainty.  This way I can simply relax.

I also came up with an idea I think will work well regarding my favorite flip flops. I took them last year on vacation and suffered from two problems. 1) when they got wet, it made it very difficult to walk on their slippery surface.  I nearly fell twice and wound up spending the rest of my vacation wearing shoes and socks. Boring. 2) under the heel where the straps connect to the shoe, the little fasteners made my feet sore. The answer came as I was walking home from the post office.  I stepped in a puddle and my foot got wet and I nearly fell on my face. For what ever reason that made me think about taking a bath, and then those little stickers you put in slippery tubs for traction.  Then, and I am certain there was a flash above my head, I had an idea. Those stickers come in all sizes and you can cut them. Put two stickers in my shoes and that will add soft extra padding for my heels and keep me from slipping. And that’s how great ideas happen.  My goal is to get through my entire vacation, without wearing shoes and socks.

Yea so I asked and they listened.  Sort of. The makers of scribe fire redid the Firefox version so now it looks awesome like the chrome and safari versions.  Its Smooth and I actually want to use it to blog.  It flows like water and looks elegant.  So probably see more posts from me in the near future.

I’m kind of excited about my upcoming vacation but kind of not.  It all comes down to money. If I can get my check by 12:30 on the 20th I should be ok. Otherwise my plan is to borrow the amount from my dad and give him my check when I get home.  I don’t want to do that but it may come down to it.  I thought if I mailed my form back early my check would come early.  So I mailed my form back on a Thursday, which should have given me a check on Wednesday.  That failed as the check was cut on Wednesday which means I get it on a Friday.  So I can only hope that it will come early and that depends on the post master.  so I will see what develops tomorrow.  I actually will have to ask my dad for it ahead of 12 because he leaves for work at 11:30 am.  I just thought of that.  So now I have to come up with a better plan of action.

Watch it Earth Girl

August 1st, 2010 | Mystitsu

A girl has recently fallen under the spell of the 10th and 11th doctors of the Dr Who franchise and now has her head burning with fantasies and stories decided to make a little blog about it.

The 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant a slender Scotsman who can speak volumes with just a twitch of his bewitching eyebrows is a big change from my recent obsession over the dashing blue eyed New Zealander, Craig Parker.  I think my favorite thing about David is his large eyes, his dimples and his seemingly small frame.

The 11th Doctor, played by Matt Smith almost a polar opposite of David and is more like Craig.  He’s tall, very muscular (probably from his days as a footballer) and seems very boyish.  One thing though that stands out about Matt is that he has very pronounced almost gargoylish like facial features that separately would be hideous. Yet some how the way his face is put together manages to be very attractive.

David also has the potential to be unattractive, especially when he grows a nasty little beard which makes his face look as if his chin and throat are wasting away.

Allons-y!

yes, I have named my  blog after the oft used saying of the tenth Dr. portrayed by David Tennant.  He often used this statement with delight as he barreled headlong into the unknown, and once or twice into what seemed certain doom.  I have recently become facinated with the newest incarnation of the Dr. Who program.  The last three incarnations of the doctor have gone from, handsome, to adorable to HAWT and the stories are absolutely brilliant.  But my favorite doctor by far has been David Tennant and when he talks in his natural Scottish accent its just absolute deliciousness.  So thank you doctor.

Where is your mean friend?

July 23rd, 2010 | Mystitsu

So I’m sitting here are Panera in Westchester waiting for my nephew to show up for tea.  And there are these elderly people in the restaurant and apparently they all come here everyday or at the very least several times a week.  There is an elderly old black guy and his friend, a white guy with long hair. A Greek woman in her 50′s and her mother who speaks tid bits of english. a poofy haired white lady carrying a box and apparently a MIA mean guy.

My question is this.  If you know of someone you see on a regular basis and if this person is mean to you, why in the world would you want to know where they are?  Why would you wonder why they aren’t somewhere?  If the person is a diseased asshole, wouldn’t you be pleased that they aren’t where they normally are when you are there.  I mean do you want to see this person?  Do you like it when they are mean to you?  No of course not and yet you look for them.

Also one last note.  Why do young black men have the ability to repeat the same stupid statement that they believe sounds cool over and over like a 2 year old child.  Stupidness. Unbeliveable stupidty. I am surrounded by idiots.

Being Ignored

July 16th, 2010 | Mystitsu

So, I had this amazing falling out with some people in a chat room a week or so ago.  Normally everything blows over and all is right again, but this time I got into it with Arca, and even though she will bullshit you into thinking she isn’t so specially, everyone kisses her ass. She knows how much power she has in that channel. She knows that if she wants something from any of the desperate looser males in there they will do it. If she asked them to fall on sharp sticks and die because it would make her happy, they’d suicide like lemmings.   If Arca doesn’t like you, you’re as good as gone.  I used to like her, but she lost my respect over several events.  I won’t go into detail, but she’s getting the whole channel to ignore me. Fortunately I have friends there especially Ed and Jaggy.  Jaggy has her issues and so does ed, but at they end of they day, They are more respectable.  Even Apple fangirl Bluebie is a better wholesome person. Anyway that is enough of a rant. Arca the moron

Organizing my photo tour vacation

June 10th, 2010 | Mystitsu

I have been to Walt Disney World many times and every time I take photos, but never in a way where I can come home and document my trip like: Ohh that’s the main entrance of EPCOT or I remember that in the backlot of the Disney studios.  So this time, I’m planning what I want to photograph and document.  From the inside of the Airport at arrival, to its cute liddle monorail, to the ride out to the resort.  I have some great software to make collages with and I really want to use it to the best of my ability to really make my vacation a memorable one.  Still working on getting a new lens for my camera that is mid range, so I don’t have to change lenses at all.  There is also the issue with my camcorder and darkness.  Going to have to go look at some camcorders for that do well in the dark.  I have my play money organized and should have enough to buy some neato stuffs.  I don’t have to worry about purchasing food items since that comes with my vacation this year. That is a BIG sigh of relief.   Still hammering out airfare.  the farther in advance we pay for that the cheaper the price will be.  But i have to get the disney trip set in stone.  That happens this friday.

Really depending on my laptop lately

May 12th, 2010 | Mystitsu

It’s true, I have been.  It began on Friday when I fell ill with what I can only guess might have been some kind of food poisoning.  It didn’t  happen until after I had eaten.  The only thing I had out of the ordinary was fried taco shells.  Apparently I cannot stomach veggie oil, or the chicken was under done.  I spent most of that time, watching lots of movies on Turner Classic Movie channel as well as being on my laptop when I felt well enough to poke at the touch pad and to type.  It’s kind of odd, But I do enjoy the freedom of being able to just simply get up and go with my laptop, as opposed to being locked in place with my desktop.  So I’m eventually going to upgrade to Windows 7 64bit and add another gig of memory.  If I need to game I can use the computer at home.  I’m also doing a lot of work on this laptop so its really important to me.  And it will make downsizing my desktop a lot easier.  A few months back I built a slimline PC for a friend of mine.  I saw one that had a dual core processor, so I may be building one for myself.  What will I do with the bits from my big Bertha?  I’m unsure yet. Now, back to working on this yearbook.
